This past Friday the daycare went on one of my personal favorite field trips. We went to a local apple orchard. I enjoy this particular one because of all the different fun age appropriate things for my kids to do. As soon as you get out of the car you are welcomed to this place with the smell of cinnamon in the air from the bakery. The staff is very welcoming and great with the children.
The first part of our agenda was to take a hayride tour of the grounds. We were then able to go out and pick an apple off of a tree. After that the children rode on a train ride that took the kids all around the pumpkin patch. We then enjoyed exploring the barn. There are rope swings set-up for the kids to play on in the ground level and upstairs there is a very long tunnel slide they can go down. Along with this there happens to be a nice tricycle area set-up for them to ride around on. The haystack pyramid is a must for the children to climb up. I enjoyed a fun game of tag in their maze. They also keep some farm animals which the children had fun petting and feeding.
It was such a nice day. I am hoping to be able to take my own nephews there sometime this month...:)
