"My Wish"

"My Wish"
Tonight I was working on a project for a friend's graduation surprise his
mom is making for him. In the note I wrote him I decided to put in the
lyrics from a Rascal Flatts song, "My Wish." As I was getting it all ready
for him it reminded me of an youth group meeting we held at our house
one night. A few years ago in our youth group we had one activity we did
which was all about finding God through music. Each of the people that
came to that activity that night were supposed to choose a song to play
that really made them think about God. The song I chose happened to
be "My Wish". Now, at first when I played that song half of the group did
not quite get why I chose that song, but the other half totally got it.
Whenever I hear this song, I like to think of it as God's own little letter
to me about how he hopes my life will turn out. I especially like the line,
"You never need to carry more then you can hold," because really God
does not send us anything He knows we can't handle, and he gives us
the strength to deal with the things that seem to overwhelm us when we
ask Him for it. That's just my take on the song. The lyrics are below if
